‘Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales’ Release Date, News & Update: Will Turner & Elizabeth Swann’s Son Appears?

"Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" recent trailer made quite an impression after fans realized that Jack Sparrow is nowhere to be seen. However, a new character seemed to make up for his absence. Online publications were quick to point Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann's teenage son in the new trailer. What adventures or misfortune does this character bring?

Meet Young Breton Thwaites

The new "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" trailer released last week teased a new character that fans haven't seen before. MTV is almost 100% sure that they spotted Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth Swann's (Keira Knightley) teenage son, Henry. Brenton Thwaites portrays Will and Elizabeth's son, who will bring an important message for Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp).  Coming from Captain Salazar himself, he tells Henry to look for Sparrow and say, "Death will come straight for him."

In the trailer, young Henry is locked behind bars in a ship's lower compartment. The report described Henry looking composed despite facing the undead Captain Salazar. It should be noted however that Disney or the production team of "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" hasn't confirmed that Thwaites is actually Will and Elizabeth's son. However, a previous interview with Mirror UK described the character as someone trying to break a curse in order to reconnect with his father, which suggests that he could be young Henry.

Johnny Depp & Orlando Bloom Missing From The Trailer

"Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" will continue to see Jack Sparrow in a perilous position after ghost pirates escaped from the Devil's Triangle to hunt down all the pirates at sea. Led by an old foe Captain Salazar, they hunt all the pirates including Jack Sparrow. That being said, Sparrow may turn to Captain Will Turner for help. Sparrow's only solution is to obtain the Trident of Poseidon, which will give him total control over the sea.

The main characters of the movie are pointedly missing from the trailer. This may be an attempt to tease fans and heighten anticipation for the movie. "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" is slated to hit the theaters on May 26, 2017. Watch the trailer below.
