"Game of Thrones" Season 7 is gearing up for a big battle that would soon involve a clash between humans and White Walkers. Former cast member Jack Gleeson hinted that the people of Westeros may have a fighting chance of winning the said battle by using the Iron Throne.
The young actor may no longer be a part of the HBO series upcoming two seasons but it never stopped him from sharing his thoughts about the show. Gleeson, who portrayed the now deceased Joffrey Baratheon in earlier seasons of "Game of Thrones," made mention of a popular fan theory about the White Walkers.
Gleeson was among the many celebrities who appeared during a panel discussion at the recent New York Comic-Con event. Aside from revealing that he has yet to watch a single episode of the HBO series, he echoed a speculated plot development that linked the White Walkers demise with an important component inside the Iron Throne
Some fans have previously highlighted the importance of the Valyrian steel contained within the Iron Throne. Gleeson shared that a fan told him of the said theory and how it will play a huge role in the impending White Walkers battle, MTV quoted the actor as saying.
Melting the Iron Throne to form a weapon that can be used to fight the White Walkers may be one way to defeat the said creatures in upcoming "Game of Thrones" episodes. The destruction of the said throne will also serve as a "cool idea" to denote the monarchy's dissolution, according to Gleeson.
Despite Gleeson's comment about his speculated ending for the HBO series, the young actor clarified that it should not be considered as a valid spoiler for the show. He explained that he has no idea about the series' plotline and future events. He stated, "I know zero about the show and I literally know nothing about what will happen."
In other news, "Game of Thrones" Season 7 will feature the return of a very young yet fierce ruler. Bella Ramsey will reprise her role as the Bear Island's leader Lyanna Mormont, according to Screen Rant. Avid viewers may recall Lyanna's impassioned speech during the Season 6 finale that helped other Northern leaders to promise their allegiance to Jon Snow (Kit Harington).
"The Walking Dead" Season 7 is expected to premiere in summer 2017 on HBO. Watch a clip that features Lyanna and her rousing speech below:
