'Criminal Minds' Season 12 Cast - Paget Brewster Back For Good As Emily Prentiss
Paget Brewster, who is reportedly joining "Criminal Minds" Season 12, is not exactly new to the series as long-time fans of the CBS police procedural drama must have noticed. She has been a regular "Criminal Minds" cast member from seasons 2 to 7 until 2012 but still appeared as guests on a few episodes in seasons 9 and 11.
However, fans may be expect to see a lot of Paget Brewster in the years to come. Apparently, the actress is back for good, reprising her role as Emily Prentiss in the ongoing "Criminal Minds" Season 12, reports ET Online.
Revealing on her character Emily Prentiss' whereabouts in the past few years, Paget Brewster explains that Prentiss was working for the Interpol for the past four years. But now, Emily is back full-time as BAU chief, reflecting showrunners' decision to promote Brewster as a regular "Criminal Minds" Season 12 cast.
Adam Rodriguez Replaces Shemar Moore In 'Criminal Minds' Season 12
Fans must have also noticed that there a new guy in the BAU team. Adam Rodriguez made his debut in the "Criminal Minds" Season 12 premiere playing as Luke Alvez, the guy to replace Shemar Moore's Derrick Morgan, reports TV Guide.
It might take a while for Adam Rodriguez's Luke to thaw Penelope Garcia's iciness. It's not that Garcia, played by actress Kirsten Vangsness hate Luke. At the moment, she is still processing the absence of former teammate Morgan and is always reminded of the fact by the newcomer's presence in "Criminal Minds" Season 12.
Thomas Gibson Thanks 'Criminal Minds' Fans
While actor Thomas Gibson has already been eased out of "Criminal Minds" Season 12, the actor still appeared in the previous episode this season. Following its airing, Thomas Gibson fans showed their support, showering the actor with thank-you messages which says "A Toast! To 11 yrs + 2 episodes of an amazing character... and the Man who made those years worth watching!," reports CarterMatt.
Thomas Gibson responded to all the support via a Twitter post. The "Criminal Minds" Season 12 actor thanked everyone saying "The outpouring of love and support is amazing and much appreciated by my family & me."
