E! News previously reported that Jessica Capshaw (Arizona Robbins) bid her farewell to Sara Ramirez (Callie Torres) by celebrating her share on the show's success. The 40-year-old "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 actress wished her former co-star luck on her new endeavour. Jessica Capshaw took to Twitter to not say goodbye but to celebrate the moments that the cast and crew had with Sara Ramirez.
US Weekly reported that Sara Ramirez has officially signed out as Dr. Callie Torres in a post. Although she is ready to move on from the show, the actress noted how much she appreciated the fact that she has been a part of "Grey's Anatomy."
“I’m deeply grateful to have spent the last 10 years with my family at Grey’s Anatomy and ABC, but for now, I’m taking some welcome time off,” Sara Ramirez said in a statement. “Shonda’s been incredible to work for, and we will definitely continue our conversations!” Prior to her departure, Ramirez hinted that she was leaving the show in a cryptic tweet back in April.
Sara Ramierz wrote that she's wrapping up as Dr. Callie Torres and many speculated that she will not be coming back for "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13. As it turns out, the whispers and rumors of her leaving the show are correct. Meanwhile, Jessica Capshaw reported back to work for "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 on September 22. Her current contract will keep her at Grey Sloan through May 2018.
