After shutting down PokeVision in the past, they did so with several other illegal apps in the "Pokemon GO" game. Nevertheless, the campaign to shut them off completely, has been to no avail. Now, it looks like the latest "Pokemon GO" update sees to it that these illegal applications will not have any space in the game.
According to the latest news, the new "Pokemon GO" update from Niantic asks users to reCAPTCHA. Once done, anyone with an illegally downloaded apps will be left behind and shut out of the game. A third party app called FastPokeMap said "It's not just FPM that was shutdown, every app/site just died. We have to reverse the api again."
According to Forbes, it's the API update of the "Pokemon GO" that literally made the Niantic latest update successful.
Other third app companies that were affected by the API update were ScanGO, PokeSensor and other third party apps that tried so hard to capitalize on the growing popularity of the "Pokemon GO" game.
In July this year, the "Pokemon GO" was launched by Niantic and since then, the game picked up its pace and became the top earning mobile game to this day.
