Fans were disappointed with how OnePlus 3 turned out when it was released in June this year, and now that rumors are circulating that the Chinese tech manufacturer is currently developing the new OnePlus 4, consumers are hoping that it will live up to its hype. Dubbed as the new "flagship killer," the upcoming OnePlus 4 is expected to arrive with better specs and features than its predecessor. Industry observers believe that the new smartphone will compete well against any top-tier handset in the market today including the new Apple iPhone 7 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 7.
One thing people love about OnePlus devices is they are relatively cheaper compared to other handsets in its class. According to a report by WCCF Tech, speculations online suggest that the new OnePlus 4 might run on a Snapdragon processor from Qualcomm paired with a whopping 8 GB of RAM. Apart from its powerful chipset, the device is also expected to arrive with Google's latest operating system, the Android 7.0 Nougat.
When OnePlus 3 was introduced in the market, consumers immediately found its camera as its strongest feature among others. According to reports, OnePlus 4 will certainly carry a much more impressive camera technology compared to its predecessor as rumors suggest that it will sport a 23 MP primary shooter. The device will also carry an 8 MP front-facing snapper and both cameras will come with Sony's sensor integration.
Meanwhile, there are reports saying that OnePlus 4 could be the first smartphone in 2017 to support 4K resolution with its Optic OLED display. The device is said to sport an aluminum casing and a 5.5-inch diagonal screen, which is basically the same size as OnePlus 3. With its advanced specs under the hood, it's amazing that the new OnePlus iteration is only expected to come out with a $400 price tag, which is less than half the price of the new iPhone 7.
