The world of gaming has no sleep. There are always new and exciting events that keep us up nights in a row and purchase new tech gear to maximize the potential of epic games. There are a lot of reasons to love the gaming Universe, from astonishing graphics and compelling story lines to adrenaline pumping action and cool strategies.

A new series of releases have built enough warm up to keep us at the edge of our seat. The new games are certain to be hot, and we want them all. Let's see these 10 upcoming video games you should be excited about.

1. The Last Guardian (December 6th)

After seven years of production and waiting, the most awaited game of the century for PlayStation seems to finally be completed this year. Unintentionally or not, its many canceled release announcements have already built the game a quite impressive number of fans.

Fumito Ueda's third Sony game unravels its plot around the friendship between a boy and a giant creature with feathers, named Trico. You get to play the role of the boy who was kidnapped. He wakes up in a mighty castle covered in mystical tattoos and saves this fantastic creature that will become his companion in his amazing adventures.

The gameplay is a witty mix of action-adventure and puzzle elements. Trico cannot be controlled by its friend, but needs to be guided by the player with tricks that arouse its interest.

2. Battlefield 1 (October 21st)

Platform: PC, PS4, Xbox One

 

This is an upcoming video game is despite its name the fourteenth issue of the Battlefield franchise. This time, the action is set in the World War I, the roots of all evil. So, be ready to travel on zeppelins, heavy and light tanks, horses, biplanes, battleships and more.

You have to team up with up to 64 players and use complex tactics to take over the five points of interest on the map. There are eight distinct classes to choose from: Assault, Medic, Support, Scout, Tank, Pilot, Cavalry, and Elite Classes.

3. Civilization VI (October 21st)

The new game from the Civilization series is up to greater achievements than ever. The set is completely rebuilt from scratch due to a new engine while keeping some familiar features in place so as not to leave fans in much confusion.  The players once again have the opportunity to raise mighty empire that defies the volatility element of time by exploring, expanding, exploiting, and exterminating the enemies.  

The PVP experience receives more adrenaline than ever as the traders, spies or delegations can bring you gossip. These rumors can be clues on the strategies prepared by the enemy.

4. Titanfall 2 (October 28th)

After two years of sheer entertainment with Titanfall 1, the guys from Electronic Arts are ready to raise the suspense with a second episode. Titanfall 2 is a first-person shooter video game and brings the bond between humans and machines in the first line.

This time, there's enough material for the single players too with a special narrative-driven campaign. The skill system is also improved as there are no more sanctioning points for the losing team as long as there are players that performed impeccably. Now, the players have the chance to form Networks that are a group of several members that can play together on the same team.

5. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (November 4th)

The new and much anticipate Call of Duty game fast forwards to the far off future. The battles will take place in the outer space this time, which is the perfect moment to introduce zero-gravity environments.

There will be many new gameplay mechanics and a standalone Zombie mode which is a cooperative multiplayer designed with the beginner players in mind. The new game will come with a renewed version of Call of Duty Modern Warfare.

7. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (2017)

8. For Honor (February 14th, 2017)

Each faction has its own special abilities that aid players to defeat their enemies.

During the battle, you can collect points to spend on different perks, like healing or other battle advantages. A new feature of this type of game is "Art of Battle." When a player confronts an enemy with better health, they both enter a dueling arena where they have to discover the each other's weaknesses and take an aim for them.

9. Dishonored 2 (November 11th)

There's a much-awaited sequel to the world of Arkane. The game supports the stealth action genre in which players can finish the game without taking one life.

This mind-blowing game lets you roam in yet another fresh city of Karnaca from southern Europe. The players can once more experiment with special combat moves that are not lethal, yet create "chaos." Collecting chaos will influence the in-game dialogues and the world itself. The characters have supernatural powers, but this time, there can be enhanced with a skill tree which possesses a multitude of paths.

10. Horizon Zero Dawn (March 3rd, 2017)

Platform: PS4

 

The excitement for this game goes stronger and stronger, but at least there's an official date to end waiting. The concept of Horizon Zero Dawn is set in the future, 1,000 years from now, in a Universe where the machines have taken over the world. There's one hero that the players get to control, which is hunter and archer named Aloy. She has to make use of stealth to defeat the evil creatures, and their body parts can be used as resources.

The developers chose to create the game on the idea of trial and error, where there's no tutorial to introduce the player in the story. Instead, the players have to figure how things work on their own which adds up another element of adrenaline.
