'Supergirl' Season 2 Spoilers, News & Update: Project Cadmus to Bring Kara & Clark Kent Closer; Kara to Deal with Superhero Status

As "Supergirl" season 2 makes a grand entrance into The CW on Monday, fans are anticipating to see some shake-ups following the events of last season. Not only is the show moving to a new network, but more and more new faces are coming to National City.

Tyler Hoechlin is headed to "Supergirl" season 2 to play Superman A.K.A. Clark Kent A.K.A. Kara's cousin, so there's that to look forward to. The sophomore season will also see Kara trying to deal with her superhero status. Entertainment Weekly sat down with executive producer Andrew Kreisberg to talk about what may be going on in Kara's head this second season, and he has a lot to share about it.

According to Kreisberg, Kara spent the last season suiting up as the new superhero of National City and in "Supergirl" season 2, she's all about coming into her own. Fans will also get to see Superman being a big brother to Kara, and showing her just how to deal with being different and having so much responsibility thanks to their superpowers.

"Kara is really growing up this season, that’s really her journey," Kreisberg explained. "Supergirl" season 2 will also see more of Project Cadmus and their schemes. In fact, Project Cadmus is set to cause trouble and most likely bring Kara and Clark closer because they'll have to work together to protect National City from the evil powers behind the organization.

But more than just Project Cadmus, there will be more villains arriving to National City on "Supergirl" season 2. But what most fans may truly be looking forward to is the musical crossover episode with "The Flash." According to Gamespot, Kara isn't only teaming up with Barry Allen himself, but also with the other superheroes in "Arrow" and "Legends of Tomorrow."

We'll have more details on the big crossover event as they unfold. In the meantime, check out "Supergirl" season 2 when it debuts on The CW on Monday, October 10 at 8 p.m.
