Great news for those who are keeping an eye out for Microsoft's new releases, as a new Surface AIO desktop is seemingly on its way to retailers soon. Apparently, the tech giant will unveil the details in an upcoming event this month.
The Verge reports that later this month, we'll see Microsoft hold a special event in New York City, where they will showcase their newest offerings for Windows 10 and their Surface products. Fans are also expecting the company to shed light on Xbox developments, Surface hardware, and Windows 10 software updates.
What's exciting about the upcoming Microsoft event is that they will be announcing the arrival of the Surface AIO desktop. In fact, details on the Surface-branded keyboards and a mouse have been leaked, indicated that the reveal is indeed happening during the October 26 event.
For those who are looking to purchase the Surface Pro 5, Surface Book 2 2016, however, it seems that you'll definitely have to wait a little longer, as these devices won't be arriving this year. What Microsoft is looking to do this time, however, is to release the Surface AIO desktop this month instead.
Now that we know the Surface Pro 5, Surface Book 2 2016 aren't arriving this year, we'll have to make do with Microsoft's two major software updates in 2017. Of course, there's also the release of the SUrface AOI desktop this month, which will feature a Surface-branded keyboard, as per ARS Technica. The keyboard features a non-ergonomic design that to be honest looks very much like a Mac keyboard.
There's also the Bluetooth mouse that looks very much like its predecessor, the Designer Mouse. This will run on three AAA batteries. As per the overall Surface AIO desktop, it seems that the system will have a separate modules to keep processors, memory, storage, and other hardware.
It's too bad that the Surface Pro 5, Surface Book 2 2016 won't be arriving this month, but fans should indeed look forward to the unveiling of the Surface AIO desktop this October 26 during the Microsoft event in New York City.
