‘Fallout 4’, ‘Skyrim Special Edition’ PS4 Mods Release Date, News & Update: Bethesda, Sony Finally Agree to Game Mod Use; Details Here

Barely a month after Sony announced that game mods for “Fallout 4” and “Skyrim Special Edition” have died down, Bethesda suddenly reveals that they are coming in after all – well sort of.

As mentioned in a previous post, Bethesda claimed that Sony has not gotten back to them and that this was an indication that the PS game console manufacturer was not interested in bringing game mods for “Fallout 4” and “Skyrim Special Edition”.

Bethesda, Sony thresh out differences

Thought there is no mention if the dish was something behind the recent development, the important thing is that game mods will be up and coming for “Fallout 4” and “Skyrim Special Edition”, Bethesda.net reported. According to the announcement, “Fallout 4” and “Skyrim Special Edition” will be getting mod support for the PS4 and also the PlayStation 4 Pro.

“Skyrim Special Edition” will be the first one to break the ice on Oct. 28.  “Skyrim Special Edition” for the PlayStation 4 Pro will, however, be something to look forward to since it will render support for 4K display. This means that gamers can look forward to better graphics under it.

“Fallout 4” and “Skyrim Special Edition” Game mod limitations

While the coming of game mods is good news, there is something gamers will have to take note of. Apparently “Fallout 4” and “Skyrim Special Edition” gamers can only create their own content using Bethesda’s Creation Kit. A Bethesda.net account will be required.

This means that external assets cannot be integrated into “Fallout 4” and “Skyrim Special Edition”, something that could be good or bad, depending on the gamer’s end. Nevertheless, the fact that Bethesda and Sony were able to come to an agreement is big news for folks who want to see and apply something different to “Fallout 4” and “Skyrim Special Edition”.
