As exciting as it was seeing the PS4 revealed, another weekend will soon be upon us, and you all know what that means. It's time for another one of Mass Effect 3's N7 Bounty Weekends!
"Operation Tribute" is set to go live tomorrow, and last until Sunday, February 24th. As described by the BioWare blog, "A surprise Reaper assault inflicted deeply-felt casualties on our N7 teams and interrupted supply lines to several worlds. Many units will have to rely on standard-issue sidearms and munitions. We must honor and avenge our comrades who fell - and let the Reapers know this was a mistake, not a victory."
The mission requires completing two objectives.
1) Earn 50,000 points using the M-8 Avenger.
2) Earn 50,000 points using Inferno Grenades.
Those who complete the objectives reap the benefits, this weekend's being a Commendation Pack, as well as a special tribute banner.
In related news, BioWare finally owned up to news regarding future Mass Effect 3 DLC via a press release.
The first arriving DLC, Reckoning, is primed for the game's multiplayer mode and hits this Tuesday, February 26. The pack adds new characters, weapons and item upgrades for use in multiplayer, though BioWare hasn't offered any details on any of the new stuff as of yet.
After the Reckoning comes, Citadel is next up. The other side of the coin, Citadel arrives on the 5th next month. It will be the last single-player DLC for the game, and should give players a nice walk down memory lane. It offers new locations for players to explore in the massive space station. Said Casey Hudson, Executive Producer of the series, "We have always been humbled and driven by the passion of our fans for the Mass Effect trilogy. We hope fans will enjoy spending more time with some of their favorite characters -- we have certainly enjoyed spending time creating them. We're excited to release this final sendoff for the trilogy and move forward into the future of the Mass Effect universe."
Players can grab the DLC for $14.99, or 1200 Microsoft Points.
