When the current iPad Pro with a 12.9 inch-screen was released in September 2015, many fans were hoping for Apple to immediately follow it with a new iteration. However, after a few months of rumors and speculations, the Cupertino based company has yet to provide concrete details with regard to the development and release of the new iPad Pro 2. Previous reports suggested that the new tablet was going to be announced along with iPhone 7 during the company's Sept. 7 event. Obviously, that did not happen and fans were left wondering when the highly anticipated device will arrive in the market.
According to the latest reports, the upcoming iPad Pro 2 may not be release this year as there is no clear indication from Apple that it will hold another launching before the year ends. However, industry observers are positive that the company will gather for a new tech affair in October for the launching of iPad Pro 2 and the much awaited Apple's flagship laptop, MacBook Pro 2016. Although the tablet's launching is rumored to happen this month, many believe that its release will still be in the first quarter of 2017, which is possibly in February.
The new iPad Pro 2 tablet is said to arrive with a slimmer and lighter design compared to its predecessor. If rumors prove to be true, the new handheld device will come out without the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack and carry a new audio port similar to that of the new iPhone 7. The most interesting new feature of the iPad Pro 2 is its waterproofing technology. Although these reports have yet to be confirmed by the American tech giant, its fans expect the new tablet to arrive with impressive specs and features.
Meanwhile, it has been reported that the new iPad Pro 2 will come out in three variants, which all will differ in sizes. The new tablet is also expected to run on Apple's latest A10X processor along with its latest operating system, iOS 10. Stay tuned for more news and update about the upcoming iPad Pro 2.
