Many people have been waiting for some concrete details regarding the development and release of Xiaomi Mi Note 2. Despite its hype, the Chinese tech company has managed to stay silent about the upcoming device; however, new reports have emerged suggesting that Xiaomi is currently in the mass production stage of Mi Note 2. According to the report, the announcement was made on the Chinese social media site Weibo by Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun himself.
Although Lei Jun and the rest of the team have yet to provide the release date details of the handset, fans are expecting the new Xiaomi Mi Note 2 to be launched in November. According to reports, the highly anticipated device will arrive in the market in two different variations. One version will carry a curved dual-edge screen from LG with a resolution of 1440 x 2560, while the other model will sport a 5.15-inch flat screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is expected to compete with Apple's latest iPhone 7 and Samsung's Galaxy Note 7, which is current having some issues with its release. The two variant of the handheld device will be powered by a Snapdragon 821 processor from Qualcomm paired with the Adreno 530 graphics technology.
Apart from its powerful processor, the new Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will carry 4 GB of RAM and a 64 GB internal storage capacity. The high-end model of Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will be sporting 6 GB of RAM and a whopping 256 GB onboard storage. The top-tier variant with the LG curved dual-edge screen is also expected to come with dual cameras at 12 MP, while the other model will carry a single camera feature with OIS.
More details to be revealed soon as the company is preparing for the launching of Xiaomi Mi Note 2 next month. The high-end variant of the device is expected to carry a US$400 price tag.
