The "Gears of War 4" is unstoppable and its increasing popularity has caused some trouble in the codes where the company's NVIDIA promotion is concerned. In the latest statement released by Adam Fletcher, the studio's community director, he said "We detected some Gears 4 Windows 10 keys were obtained illegitimately via our Nvidia promotion." he also added that, they have gone to the pains of revoking those keys.
He also advised the public to contact the NVIDIA support in case their keys are mistakenly revoked. He also warns the players that, in order to get validated, they must support their claims with a proof of purchase. The apparent mistake on the codes stemmed from ordering the GTX 1070 on Amazon wherein, the free code for the game is also included.
There are two ways players can take advantage of these codes. First, they try to resell the codes through a key marketplace and second, by redeeming the codes themselves. Others just merely sold the code say, they were not interested to play "Gears of War 4" at all. Apparently, when NVIDIA offered the free code if players by the GTX 1070 or GTX 1080, a graphics processing units, the did not anticipate the outcome of the alleged "Gears of War 4" freebie code.
According to some players online, the "Gears of War 4" keys were sold for as low as $10. They also warned fellow players to stop buying cheap keys for the game, in order to avoid future revocation of authenticity. Available on the XBox One and PS4 platform, "Gears of War 4" is scheduled for release on October 11, 2016.
