After three installments and impressive movie reviews, reports are circulating that there might be "The Purge 4." Aside from an upcoming movie, "The Purge" franchise is reportedly bound for the small screen as well.

The possibility of the creation of "The Purge 4" is very much alive, especially with the rave reviews from the audience of "The Purge 3: Election Year." However, according to CinemaBlend, the plot of "The Purge 4" will not take off from its predecessors.
Instead, "The Purge 4" will reportedly be a full back story showing the viewers how the New Founding Fathers Of America came to be. It will take the viewers to a historical review to fully understand how purging in America came to be.
In an interview with James DeMonaco, writer and director of previous "The Purge" movies, he shared that he might not be directing "The Purge 4." However, he said that he is still willing to write the script for "The Purge 4." For him, the trilogy of "The Purge" has already come full circle which is why a prequel is already needed.

Purge-junkies are excited with recent reports that talks are underway for "The Purge 4" TV series production. If the series pushes through, it will really be exciting and will definitely give series counterparts a run for their money.
For the fans who are excited to see "The Purge 4" on the small screen, James DeMonaco hinted that the series can be considered as an interwoven anthology. Perhaps viewers can see different characters for each episode but will eventually see that each individual is connected to each other.
