Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Used in North Korean Propaganda Video

North Korea has always been into creating propaganda videos, but the country took a step forward recently by creating a video with clips of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

The video was posted on North Korea’s official YouTube channel on Saturday. What was shown was a man sound asleep dreaming of a world under a unified Korea, then out of nowhere we see a clip of New York City under attack, a scene that happened in the early parts of Modern Warfare 3. Might I add that despite the video being what it is, the use of 1985 charity anthem “We Are The World” made for a soothing experience.

Snippet from the video:

"Somewhere in the United States, black clouds of smoke are billowing."

"It seems that the nest of wickedness is ablaze with the fire started by itself."

"Despite all kinds of attempts by imperialists to isolate and crush us... never will anyone be able to stop the people marching toward a final victory," it said.

Anyway, not long after the video popped up on YouTube, Activision got involved and asked Google to remove the video from the site. Don’t feel too disappointed though, there are many sources out there where viewers can have a look at what North Korea has came up with.

The end of the video showcased a unified North Korea after the sleeping man work up. It’s funny enough that North Korea has chosen to do a propaganda video, but more so when a scene from the video is taken right out of a video game.
