Everyone would love to know just what's going on over at Microsoft and Sony, and what they have planned for their new consoles, and what's "under the hood" so to speak, and there are plenty of rumors to sift through. But one thing that hasn't popped up too much lately, is just what kind of library of games will be featured for the new systems.
Platformers, racers, fighters, RPG's, no one knows quite what's in store, and well developers surely have something planned, they're not telling.
Hence, we turn to the rumor mill, well a dubious source of information, it's forever turning.
A writer over at STFUandPlay is claiming some inside information, and is reporting what might be in store for the next-gen consoles. The writer admits the info is subject to change prior to the possible reveal Sony has coming later this month, so, as per usual, take everything here with a whopping big grain of salt.
The site is reporting that Blur designer Ged Talbot and some former Bizarre developers are working together under the umbrella of Evolution Studios, the developer behind the Motorstorm franchise. The same developer has also gathered up some of the Studio Liverpool team, and they're all working together on a new racer for Sony's next console, the fabled PlayStation 4. Or at least, so sayeth the informer, who reports that the game will be "Europe's biggest racing game in a decade."
It's expected that this game will make some kind of appearance at Sony's event on Feb. 20, so we should have a better understanding of what's going on then, reveal or no reveal.
We'll keep you posted as we hear more.
