October is finally here and Apple fans are widely expecting the MacBook Pro 2016. But the better question to ask is whether it will have company by its side.
The weeks have seen the insertion of other Apple products possibly debuting alongside the refreshed MacBook Pro 2016. Dished were the MacBook Air and the iPad Pro 2. None of the two has been confirmed so why not add another product into the mix like the iMac 2016?
iMac 2016 potential features
Though a possible release of the iMac 2016 is a bit sketchy considering nothing has been hinted, possible features of the all-in-one machine have already surfaced via the rumor mill. Among the mentioned rumor includes an ultra HD 5K display which may be amply supported by a Polaris 10 or an AMD Radeon RX GPU, Mac Rumors reported.
The iMac has been traditionally catered to offices though some have managed to reel it into their homes for private use. With consideration to the HD display and supporting GPU, it could potentially be a cool solution for gaming as well.
Hence, it comes to no surprise if Apple ends up investing heavily in bringing high definition displays for the iMac 2016 which will likely bank on Intel’s Skylake processors and run on macOS Sierra. For connectivity, it may come with USB 3.1 and Thunderbolt 3 ports.
Would it be feasible to launch the iMac 2016 this October?
Seeing how the focus of attention is on the MacBook Pro 2016 for October, it may be unwise for Apple to insert the AIO into the mix. It may be overlooked by people more interested in a portable solution, something that could add to their product sale numbers.
Regardless, it wouldn’t hurt to see an iMac refresh as well though the only sure thing coming is the MacBook Pro 2016 by the end of October 2016, Bloomberg reported.
