Two episodes into "The Blacklist" Season 4, fans are reminded once again not to get on Reddington's bad side. Sooner or later, Red is going to reward those who crossed him, no matter how long they may have known each other.
The last one to kick the bucket is none other than Red's once trusted personal cleaner, Mr. Kaplan. In "The Blacklist" Season 4 episode 2 "Mato." With decades under her belt doing things for Red, he had to reward Mr Kaplan with a bullet in the face shot at point blank range.
But, is Mr. Kaplan really dead? Some are still hopeful that perhaps she could have survived. In the the last part of "The Blacklist" Season 4 Episode 2, Mr. Kaplan's hands can be seen gripping the grass.
Or perhaps it was just a twitch. Fortunately, executive producer Jon Bokenkamp was game enough to answer Entertainment Weekly's questions regarding the recent "The Blacklist" Season 4 episode's rather unpleasant and unexpected ending.
So, is Red's long-time confidant really dead in "The Blacklist" Season 4 Episode 2? Bokenkamp is pretty certain that she is, suggesting that "the last time Reddington shot and old woman...she ended up pretty dead." But there are those who think that Red is pretty unforgiving. After all, Mr Kaplan was just looking after the welfare of Liz Keen, somebody they both deeply care about.
But, Bokenkamp reminds everyone that to Reddington, Mr. Kaplan is already a dead woman walking since she helped fake Liz's death. Red is ruthless and is the type of man who places extreme value on loyalty. Betrayal, however good the intentions might be, is just the same to Red. This is echoed by TV Line's report on that particular episode of "The Blacklist" Season 4.
Red's last words to his long time friend reveals just how he views loyalty and betrayal. "Even if I resolved the anger, the pain you caused, I can't trust you. Ever." Stay tuned to GamenGuide for more "The Blacklist" Season 4 spoilers, news and updates!
