"Naruto Shippuden" Episode 476 finally aired and, based on the numerous comments by fans, the actions exceeded most fans' expectation from the series. Naruto and Sasuke gave it their all, dishing out some old moves as well as totally cool new ones. Here is a not-so-brief commentary on the first part of the battle.
Sasuke Admits Naruto His Closest Friend
In the recent "Naruto Shippuden" Episode 476, it was shown the Hagoromo asked both Naruto and Sasuke. It has been reported before by GamenGuide that the difference in their opinion about what a Hokage should be would lead to their final battle.
For Sasuke, the word Hokage only befits those who, like his Hitachi his brother, works from the shadows, sacrificing everything for the good of the villages, even if it means being branded as a traitor as shown in the "Naruto Shippuden" Episode 476. For him, Naruto's idea of a populous Hokage does not even begin to scratch the surface of what sacrifices Itachi had to go through in order to maintain peace, which included killing his entire clan save Sasuke.
While Naruto pointed out that peace among the five nations was at last achieved and that lurking in the shadows is no longer necessary, Sasuke was shrewd enough to observe that such peace is fragile born out of mutual fear of their common enemies. In "Naruto Shippuden" Episode 476, Sasuke explained that since the Akatsuki, Madara and Kaguya are gone, the villages would most likely return to the status quo, one based on distrust.
As such, Sasuke decided in "Naruto Shippuden" Episode 476 to be the darkness, the enemy needed to sustain the peace - the necessary evil so to speak. And he can maintain this role as long as he wants, being the possessor of both Rinnegan and Sharingan, reincarnation and immortality are now options for him. But to be the darkness or common enemy that would perpetually unite the world, Sasuke has to cut all ties. This include cutting off Naruto, whom he still considers as his closest and only friend.
Naruto Vs Sasuke Final Battle Does Not Disappoint
Thus began the fight of all fights in "Naruto Shippuden" Episode 476. Both parties gave it their all. Eventually, Sasuke revealed his trump card. He extracted the chakra from all the tailed beasts but instead of infusing them to a Gedo Statue like Madara, he infused it to his own Complete Body Susanoo. The technique even surprised Kurama, with the ease which which Sasuke pulled it off and by its multiplying effect on his Susanoo, which had grown too strong that even Naruto and Kurama's Nine Tails Beast mode seemed no match for him.
Deciding to overpower Sasuke's ultimate form by sheer numbers, Naruto performed the Kage Bunshin technique multiplying his Nine Tails form. They simultaneously attacked Sasuke in "Naruto Shippuden" Episode 476. However, Sasuke proved to be too powerful, the Nine Tails Chakra mode clones were cut off one by one.
Sasuke decided to end it quick and revealed his strongest attack called Indra's Arrow. But before Sasuke could unleashed the powerful arrow which looked like a white-hot arrowhead-shaped lightning, it was revealed that a Nine Tails Chakra clone was hiding somewhere, going Sage mode and collecting energy from its surroundings. So, what could happen in "Naruto Shippuden" Episode 476?
The timing could not have been more perfect. Naruto receive a fresh dose of Sage chakra just in time to mitigate the full effects of Sasuke's Indra's Arrow in "Naruto Shippuden" Episode 476. Had Naruto received the Sage chakra a second later, he would have already been a goner by then.
But such high powered techniques that the two employed in "Naruto Shippuden" Episode 476 had a slight disadvantage - it rapidly depleted their chakra reserves. As a result, the two had to resort to a more traditional fighting style of taijutsu until both gathered enough chakra to simultaneously reveal their last ditch ender techniques, Sasuke's chidori and Naruto's rasengan. Just like old times. Be sure to stay tuned to GamenGuide for part two of the Final Battle in "Naruto Shippuden" Episode 476!
