Huawei Mate 9 is among the most awaited smartphones nowadays. Rumors have previously come out regarding its possible features and specs, although no confirmation has been made until now.
According to reports, Huawei Mate 9 will come with a rear-facing dual-camera setup, along with the Leica optics. Some of its new features will also include analog zoom, laser autofocus and optical image stabilization. It is anticipated that the device would be Huawei's flagship device, as reported by Android Central.
It was also revealed recently that the device will have a Kirin 960 chipset, a 5.9-inch display with a 1080x1920 resolution which clocks in at 373 ppi and a 64GB of storage as well. Mate 9 is believed to run on Android 7.0 Nougat also, along with EMUI 5 on top out of the box.
Reports have previously indicated that the benchmark will have an 8MP front camera and a 12MP rear-facing camera; however, based on rumors, it seems that Leica is providing the prowess. In addition, there is likely a chance that the smartphone will have 6GB of RAM. In terms of price, online retailer revealed a listing which shows that the device will cost $599.
The previous leaked photos of Mate 9's chassis hit the internet in August, confirming the information regarding the dual rear camera configuration. The leaked images also showed off two speakers that are placed on the two sides of the USB port found on the bottom. Based on this, it appears that Huawei chose the minimalistic design for its phablet.
Huawei Mate 9 was also rumored to be released in November following the company's invitations for an event, according to GSM Arena. However, it also confirmed that the device will not make an appearance in the event. Later on, Huawei asked the public to disregard the rumors, yet it eventually admitted that the event is made for a new series of midrange handsets.
