As the SSV Warsaw II approached the war-torn planet, the pilot began disengaging the vessels FTL drive core. The Alliance soldiers sat nervously in waiting, a kaleidoscope of images from past battles wreaked misery on their thoughts.
Outside of the military spaceship an extraordinarily vivid display of colors both cold and hot altered the atmosphere as the ship's mass effect field generators began to slow the SSV Warsaw II to normal speeds.
Eventually the vessel makes it way to the battlefield, the soldiers leap from the bowels of the ship and enter the fray. Their eyes blinded by the flashing lights of air strikes and gunfire.
The Alliance soldiers walk into a mist of bullets and bravely court death. The group of human marines and Turian forces creep forward through the darkness gaining valuable ground from their opponents.
Suddenly from the depth of dark space comes a violent sound, ferocious, menacing and mechanical. The Reapers' reinforcement overrun the battleground invoking terror and sending an ethereal chill down the spine of the most seasoned of warriors.
