The sequel to the 2013 hit Disney animated film, "Frozen," is happening and fans couldn't get any more excited. Back in March, actress Kristen Bell, who provided the voice for Anna, had said that recording at the studio was about to start and that she'd thought production for "Frozen 2" will begin. It turns out to be not the case.
Since Bell's confirmation that time, there weren't a lot of updates on "Frozen 2" progress. However, it was confirmed by Collider that recording hasn't really started yet and that the production team is still working on refining the script. The "Veronica Mars" actress also confirmed this in a fresh interview with the publication.
When asked if the voice actors have started recording for "Frozen 2," Bell answered, "We haven't, actually. I thought we were about to start recording, but I was mistaken. So, we haven't begun yet. They're putting the finishing touches on the script."
With Bell's statement, speculation is rife that "Frozen 2" production has been put on hold, especially considering that voice actors have been working on another project. Bell revealed in the interview that recording is being done on an Olaf Special, which will be released in 2017.
There are also rumors suggesting that fans may need to wait longer before "Frozen 2" gets released. Actress Idina Menzel, who did the voice for Queen Elsa, just got engaged to her boyfriend Aaron Lohr. There have been talks about Menzel's engagement getting in the way of her recording schedule since she will be busy preparing for her wedding. However, as reported by Australia News Network, the Broadway star's engagement won't contribute to the delay of the film since recording hasn't even started yet. Fans will just have to tune in for more updates on "Frozen 2."
