In the finale of "Game of Thrones" season 6, there was a scene where Cersei Lannister (Lena Heady) was proclaimed as the new Queen of King's Landing; she was also dubbed as the Mad Queen. Because of that, several "Game of Thrones" Season 7 predictions say that someone is going to end the reign of Cersei Lannister in the upcoming new season.
Characters That Might Harm Cersei In 'Game of Thrones' Season 7
Cersei's rise to power involved eliminating High Sparrow and his followers in the Temple of the Seven along with other characters. According to Winter is Coming, four characters in "Game of Thrones" Season 7 post a vial threat to the Mad Queen reign in King's Landing.
Sources have claimed that the Mother of Dragons herself, Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), is going to stop the reign of Caersei in the Iron Throne in the "Game of Thrones" Season 7. It can be recalled that Season 6 finale had showed Daenerys with her army onboard in a large galleon heading to the King's Landing. Rumors suggest that a huge battle between Cersei and Daenerys is happening in in "Game of Thrones" Season 7.
Another potential character that is capable of doing harm to Cersei in "Game of Thrones" Season 7 is Arya Stark (Maisie Williams). Many believe that Arya will assassinate Cersei in King's Landing due to the fact that the new Queen of Kings Landing is in her kill list even since the show began.
Apart from the aforementioned characters above, the Mad Queen's own brothers, Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) and Jaime Lannister (Nikolai Coster - Waldau) may also have motive to dethrone Cersei in "Game of Thrones" Season 7. This is possible because there was a prophecy about Cersei's death to the hands of one of her younger brothers in Season 5.
Insiders say that Tyrion is most likely to become Cersei's killer after how he was treated by his own twin sister in the past. Also, most fans know that the Mad Queen is the one responsible for Tyrion's departure from Meereen. Although Jaime and Cersei are twins, it cannot guarantee that the former is not going to hurt his own sister in "Game of Thrones" Season 7.
