Despite rumors that the Xiaomi Mi 5S is not happening, some leaked specs started to emerge online. Nothing about the Mi 5S coming soon has been confirmed, but the online media is saying, the device will arrive on the 27th of September.
The risky behaviour of the alternating news about the Xiaomi Mi 5S and the supposed Xiaomi Mi Note S is alienating consumers. Without concrete details on what is coming, it sends to subdue the hype and may eventually post risk to consumers choosing to buy another brand.
GSMArena has since posted some unconfirmed specs for the Xiaomi Mi 5S device. Previously, the idea of a Mi 5S arriving soon was shut down when revelations declared that it's the Mi Note S that is coming, and not the anticipated Mi 5S. Now, it looks like the odds are leaning more on the latter as new and more concrete specs came to light.
An alleged screenshot from the Xiaomi Mi 5S device, bearing the specs of the phone was also leaked online. It include a pre installed Android 6.0.1 with and MIUI 8 running on top. Under the cover lies the Snapdragon 821 SoC carrying the Adreno 530 GPU and quad-core 2.35GHz CPU.
The Xiaomi Mi 5S also has a 6GB of RAM and 256GB of flash memory. With a 5.15-inch screen and a 1080 x 1920 resolution, the two models of the Xiaomi Mi 5S will be priced at $300 and $450. An alleged leaked rendering of the phone proposes a dual rear camera setup.
Xiaomi has not confirmed any of the rumored info about the Mi 5S. But with all the advertising materials coming up and about everywhere, is it safe to say that it's the Xiaomi Mi 5S that is coming and not the Mi Note S?
