Square Enix is definitely testing the patience of their hardcore fans. Most "Kingdom Hearts" fans are still very much excited about the upcoming release of the new games, "Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue" and "Kingdom Hearts 3." But some fans have shared their dismay and frustrations over the new style and idea injected into the "Kingdom Hearts" franchise. Are fans finally losing interest in the much-awaited game?
The original platform of playing "Kingdom Hearts" and "Kingdom Hearts 2" was PlayStation 2. Now, with the new added consoles, fans feel that the "Kingdom Hearts" franchise is losing its authenticity. In a Reddit post where the author compared the graphics of "Kingdom Hearts 2" and "Kingdom Hearts 3," one fan shared that he's unhappy with how things turned out in the "Kingdom Hearts" franchise. "It fell off the rails for me when they started pumping out [titles] for different consoles," the fan wrote. "I don't even understand the story anymore..."
Clearly, some fans are baffled as to why there are so many changes being made in "Kingdom Hearts." They were already contented with how the game was doing before, so adding more consoles to it seems pointless to them. But while some are disappointed with the upgrade, there are also fans who are just happy to finally get their hands on "Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue" and "Kingdom Hearts 3."
The last time that fans got to play "Kingdom Hearts" was back in 2005, when "Kingdom Hearts 2" was released. While Kingdom Hearts 1" and Kingdom Hearts 2" only had a 3-year gap, "Kingdom Hearts 2" and "Kingdom Hearts 3" has an agonizing 11-year gap! To make matters worse to those who were getting impatient, they are supposed to play "Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue" before finally conquering "Kingdom Hearts 3." The "Kingdom Hearts 3" trailer revealed that the game is "currently in development."
