It looks like "New Girl" Season 6 episode 2 will be riding on the bandwagon and focusing on the contentious election season too. Also, the campaign might be putting some distance between known progressive Cece and her conservative husband Schmidt.
In the episode directly preceding "New Girl" Season 6 episode 2, Jess (Zoeey Deschanel) finally admitted to herself that she has not moved on from Nick (Jake Johnson) after he comes back after his trip, Vulture reported. Schmidt (Max Greenfield) and Cece (Hannah Simone), on the other hand, are left with the hard task of finding a house so they can enjoy their own life as a married couple while Winston (Lamorne Morris) had to deal with the real estate agent wannabe sister of his new girlfriend.
In the latest "New Girl" Season 6 episode 2 spoilers, it was reported that Schmidt will show his indifference to the ongoing election, TV Line reported. As Cece and Jess prepare to campaign for Hillary Clinton, which Schmidt thinks is an affront to his Republican background, he keeps on saying "Paul Ryan 2020!" just demonstrate that he does not even acknowledge the existence of Trump. It looks like we will also be seeing Jess don a Donald Trump costume complete with an impersonation of his infamous "Yuge!" line.
"New Girl" Season 6 episode 2 will be aired on Tuesday, September 27, at 8:30 pm ET on Fox. GameNGuide will be covering "New Girl" season 6 episode 2 and other episodes of the comedy in the coming weeks.
