While Nina Dobrev's return for "The Vampire Diaries" season 8 hasn't been confirmed, fans are getting wild with speculations. Fans initially looked forward to an Elena and Damon reunion. However, others would rather see Elena rekindle the flame with Stefan instead.
Stefan & Elena Reunion
Executive producer Julie Plec wanted Nina Dobrev to return for "The Vampire Diaries" season 8. While her possible return was met with great opposition from Ian Somerhalder's part, fans can't help but hope for a possible reunion between the two. However, fans thought of another possibility of Dobrev's return. Instead of getting back with Damon (Somerhalder), fans are thinking that Dobrev may rekindle the flame with Stefan (Paul Wesley) instead, Celeb Dirty Laundry reported.
"The Vampire Diaries" season 8 may see the darkest side of Damon. Coming back to Mystic Falls, Elena won't expect to find this new side of Damon. This may push Elena into the welcoming arms of his brother Stefan instead. To recall, Stefan is Elena's first love. The reunion of Elena and Stefan will also lead Caroline (Candice King) to return to Klaus (Joseph Morgan). This could prove to be one happy season finale.
Klaroline Fans Rejoice!
To recall, fans saw Klaus leaving Caroline in Mystic Falls with a heartfelt message that she would be his last love. Since then, fans are asking for a Klaroline reunion especially in "The Vampire Diaries" season 8, which will be the last season of The CW series. This scenario will also be an advantage to Ian Somerhalder since rumors of marital feud will ensue if Nina Dobrev will reunite with her former flame. More so, there were speculations that Damon will also have a minor participation in the series finale.
"The Vampire Diaries" season 8 will air on October 21, 2016, on The CW. Check out the extended trailer below. Subscribe to GamenGuide for more updates on your favorite shows!
