It's no longer a surprise that Nintendo is developing a new console that should be a refreshing sight for all gamers. The Nintendo NX's existence has long been confirmed and the device is set to be released in March 2017. An exact date for the NX has not been scheduled but rumor has it that the Japanese tech giant has entered the production phase for the console.
Digitimes, citing industry sources, reported that Nintendo has started its trial production for the Nintendo NX. The report specified that Foxconn, the same company that manufactures the iPhone, is heading the trial production. It was also stated that Nintendo will produce around 9.5 to 10 million units of the console every year.
The report from DigiTimes didn't' give a hint as to what Nintendo NX may look like. So far, the company has remained mum about the details regarding the specs and features of the device. For a couple of months now, however, the Nintendo NX is believed to be a hybrid console that features a set of detachable controllers. As shared by Eurogamer, sources confirmed that the NX will be a handheld gaming device that features its own display. It can also be turned into a home console via a connection to the TV set.
Whether or not previous leaks about the device are true remains unclear. However, if more recent reports are anything to go by, Nintendo could introduce the NX next month. According to Wall Street Journal, Nintendo NX's launch is predicted to happen in early October.
Having already entered the production stage, as mentioned above, rumors are rife that the device should be ready for launching next month. Still, this doesn't confirm anything and fans should take reports with a grain of salt until Nintendo gives the official announcement. Stay tuned to GamenGuide for more Nintendo NX news and updates!
