Recent news and updates of "Winds of Winter" does not bode well. Latest reports have rendered that the release date of the book might be pushed even further. Also, George R.R. Martin has relayed that he is still working for the sequel of "A Song of Ice and Fire."
Given the success of the "Game of the Thrones," it is an understatement if fans and followers would not demand for the hurried release of "Winds of Winter." However, the schedule of the highly renowned author is filled with many projects which is why the sequel's segment has been delayed, but George R.R. Martin has also confirmed that he is definitely working with the plotline for "Winds of Winter" and it is also one of his priorities.
In a former post from News Everyday, George R.R. Martin mentioned that "Winds of Winter" might not be released within this year. Despite the delay, GRRM did promise that there would be exciting details regarding its plotline.
According to him, "I do have thousands of pages of fake history of everything that led up to 'Game of Thrones,' so there's a lot of material there and I'm writing more." With that being said, fans and followers of the author should extend their patience even more until "Winds of Winter" finally hit the book stalls.
