"Criminal Minds" Season 12 was on their second episode shot when the incident happened that got Thomas Gibson kicked out from the show. In an interview by People, the 54 year old actor said that his pride and reputation were hurt by the dismissal. As a veteran, Gibson has spent so many years building his career but in just a minute, it was damaged.
The unfortunate incident happened between Thomas Gibson and Virgil Williams, the writer and producer of "Criminal Minds" Season 12. Gibson, during a late night shot, was calling the attention of Williams because there was a line in the script that the former feels is contradictory to a previous line. But the writer simply insisted that the actor has to deliver it.
Thomas Gibson said that after he "tapped" Virgil Williams on the leg, they had an exchange of "choice words." The kicked out actor said he apologized the next day and even continued filming the scene. Sadly, that was the last day of Gibson with "Criminal Minds" Season 12. He was given a two-week suspension, after which he was kicked out from the show.
Thomas Gibson plays the character of Aaron Hotchner in "Criminal Minds" since 2005. He is FBI's chief of Behavioural Analysis Unit. His wife, Haley Brooks Hotchner, was killed by George Foyet.
