"Gears of War 4" is set to launch soon and a new gameplay trailer was launched to showcase some of the elements that will be present in the game. Apparently, mech suits will be a main feature in "Gears of War 4," as main protagonist JD Fenix and his team battle powerful alien armies.
The Verge reported that JD Fenix and his allies will be relying on mech suits in "Gears of War 4" to take on aggressive groups of locust aliens. They will also rely on unique weapons, vehicles and a lot of teamwork. Later in the video, the team was shown climbing into giant mechs to provide an even match to the monsters. Mech suits were first introduced in "Gears of War 3" in 2011, but the upcoming version seems to offer more fun and excitement.
The "Gears of War 4" trailer lasted two minutes, initially showing that "Gears of War 4" will have a Mature rating, created by Microsoft Studios and The Coalition. The starting scene showed a village thriving peacefully, until aliens attacked. The next scene showed the team getting ready to take on the monsters by suiting up and wielding heavy firearms with a chainsaw-like feature. The enemies followed next, some having the ability to carry firearms as well.
A caption appeared, stating that what you fight for and who fights at your side will always be family. Apparently, the team in "Gears of War 4" will at least include a father and son. Gematsu reported that there were a number of action scenes from "Gears of War 4." The characters were presented working together as they battled the monsters and what looked like an army of advanced soldiers. There were also scenes of the huge mechs in action, with one shot featuring a mech wielding the blades of a helicopter as a weapon.
At the end of the video, a pre-order promo of "Gears of War 4" was shown, which includes exclusive character and weapon skins, namely a Zombie Dom, Old Man Marcus and Tomorrow Tanya. "Gears of War 4" will release on Oct. 11, 2016 on Xbox One and PC. Those who purchase the Ultimate Edition can play the game four days early, or on October 7, and gain an unlimited map access, bonus gear packs and more, for an entire year.
