Bethesda "Still Working" on Dawnguard and Dragonborn DLC for Skyrim on PS3

In the days leading up to Bethesda's release for their Dragonborn DLC for Skyrim on Xbox 360, they were "happy to announce Dragonborn will be available on PS3 and PC early next year. And we're still not done - we look forward to sharing more Skyrim news next year."

Admittedly, it's still early in the new year, but three separate DLC packs have been announced, previewed, and released for Xbox 360, with nary a mention from Bethesda about when PC and PS3 gamers can expect to see the same content.

Despite an almost daily barrage of fans' asking Pete Hines, Bethesda's head of communication, for updates via Twitter, Hines has so far stuck to his guns, promising he would deliver any information as soon as he had it. Hines' unenthused responses are understandable in the PR nightmare that Skyrim DLC for PS3 has become, but would a little transparency really kill Hines and/or Bethesda?

Giving a little more in-depth information could actually give them a little bit of breathing room, maybe even turn he tides of angry fanboys into more understanding fanboys (if such a thing truly does exist). Sony players have been waiting since the summer to get a taste of Skyrim DLC, and it looks like they'll be playing the waiting game for some time yet.

The first DLC, Dawnguard, offers about 10 to 20 hours worth of gameplay, and gives players the option of joining the titular vampire hunting Dawnguard and taking on the vampire lord Harkon in his quest to extinguish the sun, or you can join Harkon and his kin, who grant you all the powers to be one with the night.

The second DLC, Hearthfire, didn't offer a story or additional characters so much as it let players customize their various homes. The DLC allows players to "create a living home. With this official add-on to The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, you can purchase land and build your own home from the ground up - from a simple one-room cottage to a sprawling compound complete with an armory, alchemy laboratory, stable, garden, and more. Use all-new tools like the drafting table and carpenter's workbench to transform quarried stone, clay, and sawn logs into structures and furnishings. Even transform your house into a home by adopting children."

The third and latest and most expansive DLC, Dragonborn takes place on the island of Solstheim, which offers up plenty of new areas for players to explore, including new towns, dungeons, wilderness. Of course, new quests will be offered all so you can ready yourself before going up against your "deadliest adversary" yet, the first Dragonborn.
