Rockstar Games continued to keep the state of “Red Dead Redemption 2” under wraps with most folks left with no recourse but to turn to the grapevine. Many had hoped to get some updates when Sony launched the PS4 Neo and PS4 Slim but to no avail.
As mentioned in a previous post, some mysterious posters spurred up some excitement for a possible update on “Red Dead Redemption 2”. They were fake as expected, squashing all hopes for at least an update on the popular open world western action-adventure flick.
Instead, Rockstar CEO Strauss Zelnick revealed that two big projects were in the works but it doesn’t look like “Red Dead Redemption 2” is one of them. With that said, the wait continues for the sequel.
"Red Dead Redemption 2" rumored features
With Rockstar mum on “Red Dead Redemption 2”, the best source for (possible) updates is thus limited to the rumor mill. Some may be feasible and not.
Among the alleged features include a virtual reality integration, a medium that has been tied up with other games as well. It does seem to fit into “Red Dead Redemption 2”, seeing the action associated with the game. But to do so, the game will need to be compatible with game consoles that cater to high resolutions, preferably the 4K HD resolution niche.
Like other games, seeing a VR-ready “Red Dead Redemption 2” will weigh heavily on how far the technology can go. VR headsets have been having a so-so performance in the market, meaning all of that will be under consideration by the time Rockstar Games is ready to reveal the sequel.
Aside from that, there are speculations on the title as well. It may not be known only as “Red Dead Redemption 2” but may speculatively add something to that - “Legends of the West”. Somehow, adding that game title seems perfect.
