According to the Australian Classification Board, it looks like a deal is coming for Borderlands 2 DLC.
The site features a multi-platform listing for Borderlands 2's first two DLC packes that reads as "Borderlands 2 Expansion Pack - Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty and Mister Torgue's Campaign of Carnage."
As Gearbox has done this sort of thing before, releasing a two separate DLC bundle packs for the first title, it seems likely enough that this is legit. But without any official announcement from the developer, we can't be sure.
The first DLC to be released for the RPG/FPS insanity amalgamation, Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty released in October, and took players Jolly Roger style to an entirely new area of Pandora, a former oceanic resort that's now a barren wasteland called Oasis. The DLC added new Pandoran pirate characters, missions, trophies / achievements, currency, enemy types, and, just like Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford hinted at, a new vehicle called a sand skiff, which took inspiration from the Star Wars vehicle.
Not unlike Scarlett, just with more of a monster truck vibe, Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage offered another explorable area, re-skinned enemies, and a new kind of currency. The DLC is centered around the discovery of another Vault on the world of Pandora, located in the colorfully named "Badass Crater of Badassitude." The Vault will only open "once the champion of Pandora feeds it the blood of the ultimate coward," so of course, the Randy Savage styled Mr. Torgue set up an arena in an attempt to find the champion, and open the vault.
It also featured infamous Pandorans Mad Moxxi and Tiny Tina to act as potential sponsers for the vault hunters.
Details regarding pricing or release date have yet to be announced.
Borderlands 2's next DLC, Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt hits in one week's time. Gearbox has one more DLC package planned for release some time thereafter.
