Kevin Owens may be the WWE Universal Champion but has somehow not established the top guy role on Raw. The honor still belongs to Seth Rollins, his upcoming opponent for WWE Clash of the Champion set to take place on Sept. 25.
Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins do have a beef though the main focus is the Universal title. If one goes by the book, the easy forecast would be to see the Architect win over KO. However, there is the Triple H factor to be wary of.
As everyone knows, Triple H meddled and orchestrated the win of Owens. He pedigreed Roman Reigns and then Seth Rollins, the latter of which was a seed planted on a potential mentor vs. student match likely to happen at Wrestlemania 33.
Triple H has not been seen since though many feel that he will make another appearance at WWE Clash of the Champions. Does this mean that Owens will remain champion?
Kevin Owens likely to stay champion
Kevin Owens is likely to remain the champion for several reasons. One is that Seth Rollins has proven he can be a draw even if he is not a champion while Owens can easily defend his title against someone else.
Among the potential opponents for Kevin Owens include Sami Zayn or even his best buddy at the moment, Chris Jericho. The thing here is that the Owens-Rollins storyline is erratic and hence something WWE fans is not really following.
There is a chance that comes Sept. 25, the attention will divert to a Rollins vs. Triple H fiasco. If so, where does this leave the brash-talking Canadian?
Indirectly, Kevin Owens needs to remain champion to knock some sense in his title reign. The only thing he needs right now is the right dance partner to make it more interesting.
