There are just 30 or so more days until pitchers and catchers report for spring training 2013, and that means that Sony is gearing up the hype train for it next edition of MLB The Show with the release of the game's first trailer.
SCEA San Diego Studios Community Manager, Ramone Russell wrote the following on the official PlayStation Blog:
"It may only be the first week of January, but to us at San Diego Studios that means we are just two months away from bringing you the latest installment of the number-one selling and rated Major League Baseball video game franchise, MLB 13 The Show. We've been hard at work improving the best baseball video game on the market and we want all of you to check out our first trailer."
The Show will offer an All-New Playoff Mode, which is suppose to recreate the in-stadium atmosphere, excitement and tension of October playoff baseball. Other new features include a new beginner's mode that will make the game more accessible for new comers to the series.The developers have also improved the Play Now Mode to streamline gameplay, for faster and simpler games.
Gamers can also vote for this year cover by heading over to MLB.com/covervote. The players in the running for the cover included Matt Kemp, Ryan Braun, Andrew McCutchen, Bryce Harper, C.C. Sabathia, Buster Posey, and reigning AL MVP Miguel Cabrera.
MLB 13: The Show. The game will release on March 5, 2013 for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.
