As announced by the PlayStation Blog, the newest game up for grabs for PlayStation Plus members is the ehanced follow up to 2010's arcade style NBA Jam, the NBA Jam: On Fire Edition.
On Fire Edition removes the Remix Tour of the original title, but throws in improved mechanics, graphics, and sound. Like the title that set the standard, On Fire keeps many of the titles trademarks, like Big Head mode, fast paced gameplay, and secret characters ranging from the Beastie Boys, NBA mascots, famed democrats and republicans, even characters from other EA titles like Isaac Cake of Dead Space and the SSX roster.
It maintains a score of 85 from Metacritic.
It's also a smart grab considering EA is cutting online service for the first Jam title. PlayStation Plus members have until the end of the week to download the title, and EA ends the online service Jan. 11, so if playing some Jam online is your thing, here's your opportunity. Non-members can grab the game for $14.99. It's also available for download from Xbox Live for 1200 MS points.
