"Attack on Titan" Season 2 will be set on a different direction unattached to the original manga storyline. This means that it will not follow what fans have already read on the manga as it is a known fact that most animes will not air unless a new story arc has already been added to the manga.
"Attack on Titan" Season 2 is reportedly getting a lot of buzz as early as now though the producer has not revealed the official release date yet. This leaves fans speculating on what the could be the focus of the upcoming season's story arc.
Hajime Isayama reportedly has three new story arcs that are suggested to be enough to cover "Attack on Titan" Season 2. However, some fans speculate that two story arcs are enough to cover the upcoming season. These two story arcs are Clash of the Titans arc and the other is the Uprising arc, Chatt Sports reported.
The first arc, Clash of the Titans, is the fifth story in the manga. Reports claimed that there is a huge chance that it will be covered because of the appearance of Colossus Titan in the promotional poster. The poster depicted Colossus Titan trying to break the wall while Eren, Armin and Mikasa prepares to fight another titan on "Attack on Titan" Season 2, News Everyday reported.
The Clash of the Titans story arc reportedly has 15 chapters while the Uprising arc alone has 36 chapters to complete "Attack on Titan" Season 2. Uprising is the sixth story in the manga which is focused on the murder of Minister Nick. Jean and Armin's attempt to kidnap Eren and Historia is also featured in the story.
"Attack on Titan" Season 2 is suggested to just pick up where the first season left off. To recall, Annie Leonhart was seen covered in crystal in the first season finale as Eren and Mikasa found out that it was her. The upcoming season is slated to air sometime in April 2017 while Tetsuro Araki is expected to return as the director of the series.
