When Apple CEO Tim Cook replied to an Apple fan who was enquiring about the future of the Mac series, users got a hint as to when the MacBook Pro 2016 will be released. Cook stated that he loves the Mac line and that the company is very committed to it.
This reply is being analyzed by fans, who believe the Apple MacBook Pro 2016 will get an October release during the company's technical event. Even though the statement does not say when the device will be released nor does it hint at a 2016 release, fans are almost sure they would be able to lay their hands on the device this year itself.
Moreover, according to MacRumors, Apple has been sending out surveys asking about MacBook Pro 2016 features, especially the headphone jack. This shows the tech giant is seriously considering removing the jack in a future version of MacBook Pro. It has already been removed from the iPhone 7 and it seems the trend will continue.
In the survey, Apple is also asking fans about the battery life and ports including SD card slots. As per reports, Apple will include the headphone jack and four USB-C ports in MacBook Pro 2016 but do away with all other ports including HDMI Port, SD card slot, USB-A port and MagSafe connection.
Design for the Apple MacBook Pro 2016 has been reportedly finalized and the company may keep this design for years to come. The upcoming MacBook Pro 2016 will have a lighter and slimmer chassis and OLED Touch Bar, instead of function keys. A fingerprint scanner may also be included as added security feature.
A 5K display panel is also expected along with Intel Kaby Lake processor and AMD's most recent Polaris 11 graphics silicon chip, writes iTech Post. Other features include a macOS Sierra, Apple Pencil compatible trackpad, personal assistant Siri and USB Type-C port with Thunderbolt 3 function for rapid fast charging and date transfer.
