There are a lot of Apple devices lined-up for a 2016 release. However, the Apple iPad Pro 2 does not seem to be making a debut before 2017. Ming Chi-Kuo, an analyst at KGI Securities, outlines certain expectations surrounding the device and also included upgrades on the device's display technology.
According to University Herald, Ming Chi-Kuo hinted an Apple Pencil upgrade too. He said that Apple is planning to launch a new iPad Pro in 2017 and it will have three variants, one, a 12.9-inch iPad Pro 2, a 10.5-inch variant of iPad Pro and a 9.7-inch "low cost" iPad model.
Kuo has also predicted some "revolutionary changes" to the iPad models, such as iPad Pro 2, at least by 2018. Display and design technology would shift to AMOLED display and the other upgrade would be on the Apple Pencil. "Revolutionary iPad model likely to be introduced in 2018F at the earliest, with radical changes in form factor design & user behavior on adoption of flexible AMOLED panel," Cho said in a research report, reports MacRumors.
Cho also anticipates that shipments are set for a decline due to a general trend in the tablet market, even for high-end models. The Apple iPad Pro 2 would have some state-of-the-art technology and incredible features to wow professionals. The Pencil would be used both as a pencil and stylus.
Apple will be upgrading the Pencil in the iPad Pro 2 so that users can annotate subjects in applications such as Safari, iMessage and Mail. Even though the current Apple Pencil allows annotations, its use is very limited and specific to only certain applications. With iPad Pro 2, Apple is set to make the Pencil an important feature on iOS 10.
Even the display will be upgraded for faster zooming, panning and scrolling. According to YIBADA, the iPad Pro 2 will receive additional features via iPad-centric software updates integrated on iOS 10 plus a new A10X processor.
The Apple iPad Pro 2 is expected to be released in March 2017. Stay tuned to GamenGuide for more iPad pro 2 news and updates!
