"Dishonored" fans have been waiting quite a while (around four years, to be exact) to get a sequel to the beloved steampunk first-person assassin game, and with new footage of "Dishonored 2" coming out, it seems as though very few will be disappointed.
Arkane Studios, "Dishonored 2"'s developers, have already revealed that players can choose one of two possible playable characters to go through the whole game with. Players can choose to continue the adventure as assassin Corvo Attano, or they can also choose to play as Queen of Dunwall Emily Kaldwin, whom Corvo spends the entire first game trying to save. Emily has assumed the throne at the end of the first game, but at the beginning of "Dishonored 2," she gets usurped by a mysterious woman seemingly from another world named Delilah.
"Dishonored 2"'s plot shifts a little bit depending on who you pick to play as. Both Corvo and Emily have two very different sets of abilities and playstyles. Arkane Studios has finally revealed how Corvo is going to play out through this new trailer below, as reposted by GameSpot:
Based on the new trailer, the Outsider (the strange being who gives Corvo his mystic powers in the first game) is back in "Dishonored 2" and will apparently be making life a little more complicated for the player once more.
Among the new features introduced in "Dishonored 2" other than the introduction of Emily include different upgrades for abilities, adding more nuances to civilian murders, and time travel missions. The game comes out for Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 2, while those who preorder the game can get a free copy of "Dishonored"'s Definitive Edition. That should definitely be a fun replay, especially for those who haven't actually played the first game but are looking to jump into the series.
