Rockstar Games is far off from a potential “Grand Theft Auto 6” release, revealing that they are only in the early stages of development. It was an anticipated game title at E3 2016 though such never materialized.
With 2016 slowly coming to a close, the best gamers can do right now is to look ahead to the gaming events for 2017. And as one would guess, all eyes are now on E3 2017.
True enough that is a long way off though all gamers want is a date on when to expect “Grand Theft Auto 6”. Hence, it all starts with an official announcement and maybe some features and a trailer. Could all that happened in 2017?
For now, the key point here is that Rockstar Games is technically working on a “Grand Theft Auto 6”. Compared to other game titles, that is a positive return and something to look forward to.
Take note that E3 2017 is not the only event to look forward to with other events like Games Com 2017 a possible place to announce the much awaited open-world action-adventure game,
2018 may not be that bad
With due consideration of where Rockstar Games is at right, a mature wait would be 2018 at the earliest. All that could be mentioned next year in the event of the game developer’s choice.
If so, we move forward to the possible features. Maps and VR-features have been mentioned though these mostly come from the grapevine.
Seeing “Grand Theft Auto 6” adopting VR technology is only to be expected despite the fact that virtual reality headsets have not been faring well in terms of sales. Most games out these days have adopted it so it may all depend on the fad come 2018. Much of this was covered in a previous post.
Maps are one of the highly anticipated features as well. Streets from the United States or even the Philippines have been mentioned as possible, same with London.
Right now, there is nothing wrong with making speculations. With Rockstar mum on the state of “Grand Theft Auto 6”, that is the best that gamers can hold on to.
