Nintendo NX has been in the spotlight for several months now ever since the Japanese tech giant confirmed its existence. However, not much is known about the upcoming device, but fans may soon find out if reports prove to be true.
Nintendo NX is already slated to release in March 2017 but, somehow, Nintendo hasn't confirmed what this console is about. Several leaks have surfaced giving hints what this device could be. In one report from Eurogamer, insiders have tipped that the new gaming device from Nintendo will feature a handheld console with detachable controllers. Although this report makes the device interesting, Nintendo didn't confirm its authenticity. However, the wait will soon be over as a report from Wall Street Journal mentioned that details about the NX will be available by next month.
If indeed Nintendo plans to drop more information about its upcoming device, the company will have six more months to share tidbits about Nintendo NX, GameRant reported. Six months is enough to make sure that the hype for the device won't die down. It was also noted that introducing more about the NX in October would be a smart move from Nintendo, considering top names in the gaming industry, Microsoft and Sony, have already showcased their new generation consoles.
Nintendo avoided big game events early this year, like the 2016 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), because it doesn't want its competitors to know about Nintendo NX's secret, SlashGear reported. However, since Microsoft and Sony's new consoles are out, Nintendo won't have to think about guarding its secret too much.
Details about Nintendo NX's specs and features are still being kept under wraps, but fans already know about the game titles that will be part of the console. "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild," "Just Dance 2017," "Dragon Quest X," "Dragon Quest XI," and a holiday 2017 "Sonic" game have all been confirmed to be Nintendo NX titles.
