Alex and Haley will have different goals, in which Alex will be dealing with student duties at Caltech, while Haley starts to be an entrepreneur for the first time.
New characters will join to spice up the storyline of "Modern Family" Season 8 . Special guests, Martin Short, and Nathan Fillion will be part of the Halloween and New Year's Eve episodes. Martin Short will be given one episode, in which he will be working with Phil.
