The long-rumored crossover involving "The Flash," "Supergirl," "Arrow" and "Legends of Tomorrow" was recently confirmed to happen soon. The huge merge will start in the third season of "The Flash," presenting a three-hour miniseries that will most likely resolve many of the cliffhangers of the shows' previous seasons.
"Arrow" Season 5, "The Flash" Season 3, "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2 and "Supergirl" Season 2 are set to happen soon. Previously, all four shows ended with a cliffhanger of some sort, so DC fans were looking forward to get details on how each story unravels. ScreenRant revealed that all four shows are already filming in Vancouver and will air on the same network, The CW. Since all shows transferred to a single location, many viewers believed that a crossover between at least two shows was inevitable. Fans will definitely be overjoyed to learn that all four will actually be collaborating to finally feature the characters in the same universe.
Producer Greg Berlanti recently shared some details to IndieWire about the upcoming four-series crossover. He explained that although the attempt is to run a single production spanning three different productions, they are actually run as three separate entities. They have to determine several factors in creating the grand crossover, such as the schedule of actors, telling one cohesive story, the perfect villain, visual effect sequences.
Berlanti continued that Supergirl will join, although the story will actually begin with "The Flash" episode and moves on to "Arrow' and "Legends of Tomorrow." He continued that he is working with three scripts, or 180 pages of material, to make the three-hour story, which he described as almost a miniseries. Previously, there were crossovers between "The Flash" and "Arrow," although these were generally two separate stories. In the previous season, a two-hour crossover story was developed to introduce "Legends of Tomorrow," starting on "The Flash" and ending on "Arrow."
"The Flash" Season 3 will launch on Oct. 4, 2016 on The CW. "Arrow" Season 5 will commence on October 5. "Supergirl" Season 2 will start on October 10, while "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2 will air on October 13.
