Torrentz2.eu: Legal Ways to Use Torrent, Intellectual Property & Piracy

Torrentz.eu shuts down so did KickAss torrents, yet a bunch carrying "Torrentz" surname spawn in the torrenting world. Now the whole round of debate about legality of torrents, intellectual property and piracy resumes.

Is downloading through torrent client illegal is the prime question surrounding the torrent protocol. If downloading via torrent or magnet client is illegal, then millions are guilty of it on daily basis. Most of those who scrubs the internet prefers torrents anyway because of flexibility of bits-by-bits download instead of waiting in just one go. This makes torrent a friendlier option especially for large contents when the one downloading has slow net speed.

Torrenting itself is not illegal, what makes the act ends in jail or lofty fines is dependent on content being downloaded. Here is where issue of intellectual property and piracy arises, according to MakeTechEasier. No problem if the content being downloaded are updates for video games, free OS, free apps and so forth. Anti-cybercrime authorities will bust in only if a copy of say, Windows 10 or in-cinemas-only movie that is in bittorent client.

Going into the two best torrent sites Torrentz and KickAss, both gracefully exit world wide web after bombardment of issues within intellectual property and piracy parameters. Millions of users found renewed vibrancy when clone meta-search engine Torrentz2.ue surfaced together with several carrying same "Torrentz" handle. These include Torrentz.ec, Torrentz.to among others.

The Bitbag reported that Torrentz2.eu has indexed over 55 million torrents to date from 64 domains. This makes Torrentz2 the busiest in indexing torrents among peers that surfaced after the original site.

Now to reiterate, think of copyright before downloading any file whether direct, magnet or torrent. Needless to remind, government has agents sniffing IP addresses from list of "peers" so avoid the temptation of "HDrip" and similar contents. What everyone think as harmless little file may become the final piece of evidence before ending up in jail.
