Deadline has reported that the 24-year old "Murdered By My Boyfriend" actress will play Lyta Zod in the
"Man Of Steel" prequel. "Krypton" will be set two generations earlier from the destruction of Superman's home planet. The main plot of "Man Of Steel" prequel will revolve around Seg-el, the grandfather of the "Man Of Steel."
Seg-el is the main protagonist in "Man Of Steel" prequel and will go around fighting for the honor of his family and saving his planet from utter chaos and destruction. A series is not complete without a hint of a love story, and that is when Lyta Zod will enter the scene.
Georgina Campbell will play the character of a spunky daughter of a general in "Man Of Steel," who is also a member of the military caste of Krypton. She is a cadet in the army and involved in a secret, forbidden relationship with Seg-El.
The House of El, which is one of the most famous and respected households in DC, will finally have a show focused on it. Lyta Zod and Seg-el will have a Romeo and Juliet kind of love story in "Man Of Steel" prequel. The families of Lyta and Seg-el will have constant clashes in "Kryptonite," making their love story difficult to sustain,
The producers of "Man Of Steel" haven't chosen who will play Seg-El yet, so better stay tuned for more updates. The actor who will be chosen to play Seg-El will surely be lucky, since he will be working side by side with Campbell. The "After Hours" actress was recently awarded with the Leading Actress award in 2015.
