Several games were unveiled at Sony’s Tokyo Game Show, a lot for gamers to digest. But while the list carried big names and familiar titles, there was one oddly missing from the list – “The Last Guardian”.
“The Last Guardian” was previously rumored to be coming out this October though its absence from the list of unveiled games has led fans to speculate of another impending delay. Sony has not issued an official statement yet on why the game title was not among the ones in attendance.
Stuck in development limbo?
Looking back the track record of “The Last Guardian”, the game doesn’t exactly hold a promising trail. It was first mentioned to be in development back in 2007 and the delays were then tied up to the change in game consoles on Sony’s end (from the PS3 to the PS4).
Sony did announce bits of good news last month, even promising gamers that “The Last Guardian” will finally be out this October. That even came with some screenshots that can be seen on their official Facebook page.
Which familiar titles were on the list?
There were a lot of popular titles on hand over at the Tokyo Game Show. The list included titles like “Resident Evil 7”, “Samurai Warriors”, “Kingdom Hearts”, “Final Fantasy”, and “Call of Duty”. A detailed breakdown of the games can be found here courtesy of Gamereactor.
With a long list, we go back to the original question – “Where is The Last Guardian?” Adding more fuel to the fire is that “The Last Guardian” wasn’t also around at the Sony PlayStation Meeting where the PS4 Pro and PS4 Slim were in focus. Some games were unraveled but no “The Last Guardian”.
As mentioned in a previous post, there is a chance that “The Last Guardian” could be over and done with. But the odd thing is why nothing was mentioned about the said game. Stay tuned for more updates here on Game & Guide.
