Nuketown 2025 Map Not Coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 on Nintendo Wii U

Activision has revealed that they have no intentions of bringing the Nuketown 2025 map to the Wii U edition of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. Why? Good question. As of yet, they're not saying.

Nintendo fansite GoNintendo reached out to Activision's customer support, and received the following response:

Thank you for contacting Activision Customer Support. I can understand how annoying and confusing that must have been. We're sorry but unfortunately we are not able to offer Nuketown 2025 on the Wii-U platform at this time. Sorry for the inconvenience and once anymore information about that comes out, it will be announced on our official channels ( like the support website or https://twitter.com/Treyarch ) so please check them out from time to time.

Nuketown 2025 had a similar issue on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, when the map was pulled from rotation after Black Ops 2's "double XP weekend," shortly after the game's launch.

The map is a remake of one of the Call of Duty franchises most popular map, Nuketown, which first appeared in Call of Duty: Black Ops. One of the smallest maps, it focused on close quarters combat, and was a bit claustrophobic. Despite the small adjustments to the new map, combat likely won't change too much in the "new" map.
Nuketown 2025 will also feature as a bonus map in Black Ops 2's zombie mode, which is great for any zombie fans who like the old '50's look. It promised to "deliver a heightened level of exciting game play, especially for all multiplayer fans."

Since its release, Black Ops 2 has managed to gross over $1 billion, which is just another milestone for the shooter. Shortly after the game's launch, it was revealed that Black Ops 2 managed to set records as Amazon's most pre-ordered game ever. It also managed to hit a sell-through of over $500 million worldwide in the first 24 hours of its release, according to Chart-Track, and GameStop president Tony Bartel wrote that the retailer sold more than1 million units worldwide, and that "'Black Ops II' is shaping up to be our biggest game launch of all time."
